Learn more about the AROHE Travel Institute’s worldwide learning adventures for retired or current college/university faculty/staff and their friends and family during this trip preview webinar. We will be offering five learning adventures in 2025 in the US and abroad in Canada, Spain, and Portugal. During the webinar, we will review itineraries for these trips and provide enrollment information.

The Guelph chapter of Third Age Learning (TALG) presents their morning fall lecture series, Water, water everywhere.  The series includes 8 lectures from Monday, September 11 to Monday, October 30 at 10:00 am to noon.

Dr. Thanh Dang-Vu  will delve into the importance of quality sleep for brain health. Good quality of sleep is important for cognitive functions, particularly memory. His presentation will highlight why and how it is possible to promote good sleep, especially in older adults. Visit the registration page to register.

Gentle Flow Yoga with Tanaz is geared to anyone who is either new to yoga or is interested in a gentle practice. The class incorporates breathing exercises, simple flow sequences, and slower paced movements all towards enhancing alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility. No previous experience or flexibility required.

In the next McGill News webcast,  experts Dr. Kirsten Crandall and Dr. Momar Ndao, who specialize in infectious and animal-borne diseases, will discuss the reasons behind the alarming spread of ticks into more northern climates, and share tips on how you can protect yourself and your loved ones from Lyme Disease and other tick-borne illnesses. The event is free but registration is required.  A link will be sent to registrants two days before the webcast.
