The University of Toronto Senior College resumes its lecture series for the Fall 2021.  Given the continuing pandemic, Senior College has scheduled 12  talks for Wednesday afternoons and invites members of CURAC to register and take part. To register, go to the website (https://seniorcollege.utoronto.ca/home/) and click on the talk; toward the bottom of the description you will find a link to register.  If you have difficulties, contact Daphne Maurer, daphne@maurer.ca.  

Dear Lifelong Learning Program participants, The Lifelong Learning Program will remain online only for the Early Fall session, due to pandemic-related booking restrictions on Carleton’s campus. While we miss seeing you in person, the response to our online format makes us glad we are still able to connect, entertain, and engage. On Wednesday, August 18 at 10 a.m., we will open registration for our Early Fall 2021 session.

 

The 2021 UGRA AGM will be held on Thursday June 17th from ~9 :30 to 12:00.  Lysa Porth, the new Dean of the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics has agreed to be our speaker and will talk about how Covid has effected our economy.

In 2007, the Education Committee of the McGill University Research Centre for Studies in Aging launched a series of lectures on healthy aging to the general public. The goal of the series is to suggest practical steps to improve and maintain brain health, as well as to promote healthy lifestyle choices amongst the most populous generation in history.

University Pension Plan Member Consultations in May Please save 13 May 2021  from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for a meeting with University Pension Plan (UPP), to share your views on UPP’s investment approach. Retirees are welcome to join the member engagement sessions and stay up to date on news and events. This will follow with an all-member general information session on 27 May 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
