Where is democracy going?

The Scholars' Hub @ Home at York University will host a webinar by Dr. Dennis Pilon, Professor and Chair, Politics Department, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies entitled "Where is democracy going?".  

Around the world we have seen the rise of a populist politics associated with increasing authoritarianism and an attack on conventional democratic behaviour and participation. In response to this a variety of ’solutions’ have been touted. Dr. Pilon will explore just what is motivating these recent changes in political behaviour and what kinds of responses may be required to challenge them.
