Last spring, Dr. Richard (Rick) Van Loon, past President of Carleton University, gave Part I of his 2-part lecture titled “Hard Travel: 6000 years up the Ottawa River and into the West”.  It was a big Zoom success, with guests from the universities of Saskatchewan, Calgary and Guelph. As promised and by popular demand, Rick will be presenting Part II titled “Hard Travel: Alex MacKenzie from Canada by land, 22 July 1793”. This has been scheduled for: Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 7:00 pm.

Dear Lifelong Learning Program participants, The Lifelong Learning Program will remain online only for the Early Fall session, due to pandemic-related booking restrictions on Carleton’s campus. While we miss seeing you in person, the response to our online format makes us glad we are still able to connect, entertain, and engage. On Wednesday, August 18 at 10 a.m., we will open registration for our Early Fall 2021 session.
