Join McMaster’s Department of Health, Aging & Society for the next #HASTalks seminar, Trash Talk: What Plogging Teaches Us About Age and Activism featuring Dr. Kelsey Harvey, Assistant Professor of Experiential Studies in Community and Sport at Cape Breton University.

Dr. Harvey’s recent work explores plogging, the increasingly popular activity of picking up litter while walking or jogging. In her talk, she’ll share insights from Canadians in their 20s through 80s who tried plogging, combining care for the planet with care for themselves. Their stories show how small, local actions can boost physical health, build intergenerational connections, and highlight how older adults are leading the way in environmental responsibility and community engagement.
