CMOS is the national society of individuals and organizations dedicated to advancing atmospheric and oceanic sciences and related environmental disciplines in Canada.  The Ottawa Centre has about 75 members of CMOS.  Most activities of the Centre include organizing monthly lunch hour talks and conducting outreach activities aimed at high school, university and post graduate students, and the public.  We judge and provide prizes at two regional science fairs in Ottawa and Gatineau. In addition we promote and occasionally host the annual CMOS Congress.

Most of the talks are recorded and then made available on the CMOS YouTube Channel  [2]
