The Society Promoting Environmental Conservation (SPEC), a non-profit, charitable and volunteer-driven organization, founded in 1969, works with citizens, industries and government agencies, to create a healthy environment we can call home.
The SPEC Elders Circle is hosting Crossing Bridges - Youth Talk to Elders. It's the second of four modules piloting for a program we'll offer in 2023 titled Legacy-making for Organizational Guiding Elders. This panel provides an opportunity to hear from a diverse group of exceptional young people who are eager to meet with and talk to elders. We are recruiting elders who feel similarly interested and eager to listen to and share with young people. We think this will be an exciting and engaging experience for both Elders and young people.
Please join us on January 19th from 10:00 to 12:00 on Zoom, see the registration page here [1], or email Elders@spec.bc.ca [2] to sign up through email.
Additional information about modules on Organizational Behaviour; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and (hopefully) an Indigenous Elders Panel will be scheduled over the next three months. We will be sure to send you more information on these modules when the dates are closer. For more information about the Elders Circle program, please visit our webpage here [3]
