University of Guelph Nutrition Study in Older Adults
Older adults (60+ years) are needed for a beans and beef nutrition study in the Department of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph (Professor Alison Duncan).
This study involves:
- 1 screening visit (30-45 minutes at the University of Guelph)
- 1 orientation visit (30-45 minutes can be done by Zoom if preferred)
- 3 study visits at the University of Guelph each lasting 4 hours separated by at least a 1-week break. At each study visit you will:
- consume breakfast tortilla bake containing either red kidney beans, black beans or extra-lean ground beef
- complete 1-page questionnaires periodically over 3 hours while relaxing in a quiet area (you can read or work on your computer)
- consume an unlimited pizza lunch
- record your food and beverage intake for the rest of the day
