Senior College, University of Toronto, Fall Talks on Zoom

The University of Toronto Senior College resumes its lecture series for the Fall 2021.  Given the continuing pandemic, Senior College has scheduled 12  talks for Wednesday afternoons and invites members of CURAC to register and take part. To register, go to the website (https://seniorcollege.utoronto.ca/home/) and click on the talk; toward the bottom of the description you will find a link to register.  If you have difficulties, contact Daphne Maurer, daphne@maurer.ca.

Last spring, Dr. Richard (Rick) Van Loon, past President of Carleton University, gave Part I of his 2-part lecture titled “Hard Travel: 6000 years up the Ottawa River and into the West”.  It was a big Zoom success, with guests from the universities of Saskatchewan, Calgary and Guelph. As promised and by popular demand, Rick will be presenting Part II titled “Hard Travel: Alex MacKenzie from Canada by land, 22 July 1793”. This has been scheduled for: Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 7:00 pm.
